Leeds Manufacturing Festival Annual Awards
Run by the Leeds Manufacturing Alliance, the Leeds Manufacturing Festival (LMF) promotes greater awareness of the range and depth of opportunities available within the manufacturing sector in the Leeds area.
Manufacturing accounts for more output (GVA) in West Yorkshire than any other sector – 12.4% compared to 9.9% nationally, meaning this is a successful sector that drives the local economy.
This sector success was recognised at the LMF awards in April, bringing together manufacturers from across the region at an annual awards presentation held at MPM Bradford. With an eye to developing and promoting future talent and career growth, the categories were Apprentice of the Year, Future Manufacturing Leader, Rising Star and Employer of the year.
For Bensons, our own Ben Ruby was nominated in the Apprentice of the year, recognising 3 years of excellence since joining the business; Mathew Orme was nominated for Future Manufacturing Leader and Bensons was nominated for the Employer of the year.
Being nominated in such a competitive landscape is a success in itself, even better was to make the podium, with Mathew’s impact over the past year seeing him securing second in the Future Leader category, and Bensons also coming second in the Employer of the Year.
A fantastic effort all round that demonstrates Bensons' commitment to developing its team and recognising excellence where it is due.
