Whilst being highly commended as an employer, we are hugely proud that the award for Apprentice of the Year went to our own Dan Brodie
Recognising and celebrating success is an important step in embedding progress and working toward achieving major goals and objectives.
In West Yorkshire, where manufacturing drives the local economy, celebrating the successes of local manufacturers and their teams is vital if the sector is to attract new talent and to continue to grow and prosper.
In June of 2024, the third Leeds Manufacturing Festival awards showcased the talent and outstanding contribution of younger people to the industry in West Yorkshire. This year’s awards saw a record number of nominations from employers keen to reward and celebrate the achievements of outstanding apprentices and other team members.
Of the four categories, Bensons was nominated in two.
We are hugely proud that the award for Apprentice of the Year went to our own Dan Brodie. Dan is an apprentice panel wirer who has been with the business for just over a year, and is currently in the second year of his level 3 electrical fitter apprenticeship with the company.
Reflecting on the award, Benson Panels director Matthew Barton said: “During his time with us, Dan has consistently impressed with his assurance, reliability and positivity. He is a sponge for knowledge and has gone above and beyond what was asked of him, even stepping up to take ownership in a department where we unexpectedly had a temporary resource issue. Dan used everything he had learned to do this, acquiring new skills, communicating with other teams and coordinating his own activities with those of support staff.”
In the hotly contested Employer of the Year category, we are again proud to announce that Bensons was recognised as being 'Highly Commended', reflecting the continued commitment to the team to Providing outstanding solutions, service and careers in engineering and manufacturing.
A great effort all round, that rightly recognises and celebrates the successes of the wider team.
